Chat

You can't chat with yourself, so begin by inviting someone to join you in chatting.  Follow the instructions to invite someone specific, or just share your Chat activity with the whole neighborhood and hope someone in your neighborhood will notice.

Eventually, you will see that someone (your invited friend?) will have joined your chat:

Type the text you'd like to send in the box at the bottom of the window:

Press the Enter key and your text will appear in the upper part of the window:

Either person can leave the chat by simply closing the activity for themselves.  In this case the invited friend has closed their chat activity and left the chat:
