What's Planned for the Next Release or Future Releases
of Shopping List Deluxe
Note: if you have ideas for future capabilities of Shopping List Deluxe
just drop a note to support@spitting-image.com.
- If MasterCook Deluxe hasn't done it yet themselves, we want to add a general purpose
capability to combine similar items into a single item on your shopping list.
- We'd like to provide coupon "aging" and support multiple
coupons. When you identify an item that you have one or more coupon for, you could also
identify the expiration date for each of the coupons. Then as a coupon approaches it's
expiration date the "©" symbol next to the item would change color - say from
green, to yellow (in it's final month), to red (in it's last week).
- We'd like to make the web site (www.spitting-image.com) a place
for people to share their store maps and recipes with other users of Shopping List Deluxe.
- We'd like to add the ability to print a form letter and a copy of
the "empty store" for faxing to your local grocer. The form letter would ask
them to indicate the aisle numbers for each of the store locations in the empty store and
describe how that information will be used to make your shopping experience more
enjoyable.
- Why not just fax your shopping list to your favorite grocery store
and ask them to pull the items before you get there (or just deliver them to your door)?
Lots of reasons, not the least of which is that your local grocer may not be willing to do
it. But even if they were, a typical shopping list, as generated by MasterCook or Shopping
List Deluxe, doesn't contain enough information to choose the exact item from the shelf.
We'd like to add the ability to create just such an unambiguous shopping list based on
your particular likes and dislikes - which a grocer could use, given that they were so
inclined, to pull the exact items you want and even deliver them to your door.
- There are more and more web sites out there that will provide
coupons for specific items that you want and allow you to download and print them.
Wouldn't it be great if you never had to clip a coupon again but could automatically
extract coupons from the web for those items that you were going to purchase (or might
purchase if the coupon incentive was great enough)? We don't have a clue right now how we
would provide this capability through Shopping List Deluxe, but where there's a will,
there's a way!
- Fill in the blank:
